Proven hands-on eSIM technology leader to steer RiPSIM  to mass adoption of its disruptive software solution

[McLean, VA – November 18, 2022] — RiPSIM Technologies Inc., a software startup and developer of the world’s first software-defined eSIM ecosystem for use by wireless service providers and enterprise network operators, is pleased to welcome Scott Marquardt to its Board of Directors.

In his most recent assignment, Scott was the Head of G+D Mobile Security in the Americas serving blue-chip telecom and financial services customers. Scott was directly involved in securing innovative new business with a number of iconic American companies which involved complex negotiations over intellectual property rights, limitations of liability, indemnification, performance metrics, and pricing/royalty structures.

Prior to G+D Mobile Security, Scott’s experience included running Philips Semiconductors’ (now NXP) €500+ million business in Asia where he managed business relationships with notable companies such as Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, Toyota, Honda, and others. Earlier in his career, Scott managed the start-up of high-volume cellphone production for Philips Consumer Communications in France & Singapore, and several senior manufacturing and supply-chain roles at Apple in the U.S. and Europe. Scott holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, a BA from Columbia University, as well as 4 U.S. Patents.

Upon joining the RiPSIM Techologies’ Board of Directors, Scott Marquardt declared, “Securing communications is increasingly vital in the rapidly expanding world of connected devices. RiPSIM has created a unique, standards-conforming way to create and deliver the necessary credentials, apps and other data to those devices.”

Marquardt continues, “I am excited once again to participate in disruptive innovation as I did previously in the commercialization of eSIMs more than 10 years ago.  RiPSIM has developed the means for efficiently creating and deploying eSIMs to a more diverse range of connected devices while offering greater control for customers. We are already seeing great interest in the offering.”

“Scott brings to RiPSIM a wealth of operational and business experience in a domain that perfectly compliments our ambitions for disrupting the technologically stagnant SIM industry.” said Chris Jahr, RiPSIM Technologies cofounder and CEO. Jahr continues, “Having previously led a global SIM vendor’s efforts to usher in eSIM technology, Scott brings both the technical depth and commercial acumen to help accelerate RiPSIM’s software suite into mass adoption in the marketplace.”
