Job Description

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced SaaS Software Test Automation and Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on testing our eSIM SaaS applications hosted in AWS Cloud, built with Angular front-end, .NET microservices, RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and SQLite. You’ll play a key role in ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance by developing robust test suites, optimizing QA pipelines, and minimizing manual regression cycles. Your expertise in automation frameworks like Playwright, modern CI/CD workflows, and Agile delivery is essential to help RiPSIM deliver products with world-class quality and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for SaaS applications for eSIM solutions.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing on applications hosted in AWS Cloud.
• Ensure the quality and reliability of Angular front-end applications and .NET backend microservices.
• Test C++ services and their integration with other system components.
• Verify the functionality and performance of messaging systems using RabbitMQ.
• Validate database operations and integrations with PostgreSQL and SQLite.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify, document, and resolve defects.
• Monitor and report on the quality of software releases and system performance.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in software testing and quality assurance practices

Key Responsibilities

1. Test Planning and Design:

• Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, harness scripts, and automated scripts.
• Identify, isolate, and track bugs throughout testing.
• Design and develop automation scripts when needed.

2. Testing Execution:

• Execute test cases and analyze results.
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.

3. Defect Tracking & Management

• Log, document, and track bugs effectively.
• Coordinate with developers and product managers to clarify system requirements.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Report bugs and issues to development teams.
• Monitor QA metrics such as defect density and open issue counts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven expertise with automated testing tools (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc.).
• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a collaborative environment.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing (Postman, Playwright API, or similar) and backend validation.
• Proven experience in testing cloud-based applications, particularly AWS.
• Experience in manual testing, regression testing, test case design, and test execution.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management and test reporting tools.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks.
• Proficiency in testing UI front-end applications and backend microservices.
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) for automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Bitbucket, Git).
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages.
• Good judgment skills to assess high-risk areas of an application.
• Knowledge of performance testing and monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Certifications in software testing and quality assurance.
